WHAT IS MOBILE MAPPING?

Mobile mapping systems use the latest LiDAR technology, with scanners capable of recording around 1,000,000 measurements per second. When these are combined with positioning equipment, these georeferenced data points can be used to create accurate, three-dimensional digital elevation models (DEM), or a digital terrain model of almost any environment.
